I still remember when I was in my second year of the study in at the university, Najib Razak. Oyour current prime minister was announcing one of his visions that called “One Malaysia”. At that time, I wasdid not yet understand yet about what was the actual concept of One Malaysia.
The 'One Malaysia' concept is a concept that was introduced to cultivate unity among the Malaysians. This concept evolves evolved through social, economic and political events. It stresses on the national unity without being considered to be of racial, religious, regional or otherwise biased.
Once Najib Razak had replaced Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi as the Prime Minister, he implemented lots of policy according to many policies in accordance with the "One Malaysia" concept. He tried to improve the government efficiency by introducing a “Key Productivity Index” which measured the productivity of the public and private sectors. To cultivate the unity among the nations (or 'unity within the nation'), he supported any activity that was relevant to the 'One Malaysia' concept. These included of the efforts of media, NGOs and many others. Many of the infrastructures and facilities also has been were also upgraded via the 'One Malaysia' concept. '1Malaysia Clinic' was introduced to support the rural citizens who cannot could not ('cannot' is okay, but you should avoid changing tenses where possible) afford the expenditure of the health care.
Personally, I was so impressed by how seriously the government had undertaken to take care of us as citizens, regardless any of our backgrounds. The 'One Malaysia' concept was proven could be accept by had been proven acceptable to all of the those of any ethnicity in this country, although there might be some issues that make it not are not relevant to some other people. But However, I must say that we should put politics aside and look forward foe to everything that the policy can bring which would be good for people. (I had to guess at this last sentence. I wasn't really sure what you were saying.)
In conclusion, I would say that this 'One Malaysia' concept has really changed my perception to of the government. _________________ Cheers m' dears! |
