Choose the best answer to complete the following sentence:

"I won't ________ Richard criticized like that when he's not here to defend himself"

A. make
B. let
C. have
D. get

I choose B but the answer in my book is C. I'm not quite sure about it. Can anyone help me explain ?!
Thanks so much !!!

Can anyone give some examples that use "have" in the same way as "I won't have Richard criticized"?

Thanks in advance.

Please correct me if I have made any mistake.

I will be celebrating my birthday next week. (Your passive version sounds very odd. As if you won't be a part of the celebrations but will be arranging for someone else to celebrate it for you.)

You second sentence is fine.

If I change the sentence to [i]I will have my friend's birthday celebrated next week". is the sentence correct ?
May I know how to form the sentence that is similar to [i]I will have my hair cut tomorrow[i].
Must it be future tense ? Does the word "cut" on the sentence above is past participle ?

...my friend's birthday... doesn't work either. It soundws as if you are arranging for someone else to celebrate but not you or your friend!

Your sentence cannot work using 'will have'. The closest I can think of is:
'I will have celebrated my birthday by this time next week.'
