Alternative to voice recorder?

i'm now doing my masters. i'm an English language teacher and my thesis is bout electronic learning.
i'm working also on anew curriculum that i have designed for the children in Egypt. i'm trying to make the process of learning more authentic and inspired from the egyptian society. i will be glad to share my ideas with you. concerning your offer, i have aproblem in my speaker when i fix it i will record the message. so, i need to know the dead line for sending my voice and if there is any alternative instead of the voice recorder.
