I guess it depends from person to person. Atleast I can't judge my own humor, its upto others. Though I love sarcastic humor :D! _________________ Just a confused kid... trying to live through twists & turns of life!

Arr, i love the kind of black humor. Monty Pyhton is my favourite. And also i like the american tv series "Seinfeld", "King of Queens", "The office" and "Mr. Bean". Your life must have humor and it's very important, that you can lough about themself. Folks without a sense for humor are very very measly terrestrials. I don't like them. Huomrless live is sa dull life. On a seriuos note, do not take youreself too seriously. |

Hi E2e4 ,
I see you put your location as 'Hell'. What do you like or find funny in 'The Office'?

Hi Alan,
There seems to be a slight case of mistaken identity there.
It's a very good question though. I don't see the humour which reflects the rave reviews it gets. My opinion is limited though - I can only speak about the UK version, and I have never been able to bring myself to watch a full episode. _________________ Cheers m' dears! |

Well, I'll go to the foot of our stairs, Well, I'm blowed, You could knock me down with a feather! And as Hughie Greene used to say: I mean that most sincerely. I think, Bev, we have found a source of unity. I too, have never managed to sit through a complete episode and the odd snippets I have seen leave me stone cold. As soon as the 'star' Ricky Gervase appears on the screen, I reach hurriedly for the remote. I think it's one of those 'Emperor's clothes' situations where no one has the courage to speak out and say: The programme is a complete bore. One day we shall be vindicated!
Alan
PS Don't dare say that's a sarcastic message or I'll send Ricky Gervase round to your house to haunt you! _________________ English as a Foreign Language You can read my EFL story Progressive Forms |

| Baalrieth: For a while, you disappeared? and now you come back with more horrible "face"! But no need to judge anyone else from his "cover", inside you have good personality, entertaining another ones with your fresh jokes.... |

I like the kind of humor that is self-critical. I also like situational comedy. What I don't like is fun at the expense of others. Often people say they are just kidding when in fact they are picking on someone. I don't like hidden / suppressed hatred or antagonism disguised as a joke. I also don't like condescending humor.

| @Claudia: What do you mean by saying "what I don't like is fun at THE EXPENSE OF OTHERS"? But first, let me guess "the essence" of what you want to tell us about. To my mind, you mean that for the sake of FUN, we make another ones as "the object", we say something inappropriate by demeaning them? And could you please explain to me with CONDESCENDING humor? Thanks so much. |

I'm not sure about humour, but I'm certainly a never-ending source of sarcasm... Caution: can have side-effects like absolutely perplexed people staring at you. As for the jokes, I believe spontaneous ones are always the best. ;) |
