Hello everyone,
Please correct my essay.

What do you want more in a friend – someone who is intelligent, someone who has a sense of humor, or someone who is reliable? Which one of these characteristics is most important to you?

It is my belief that it will be better that a person whom you choose to be your friend have these three human traits. However, if I have to choose the most important characteristic in a friendship I will choose reliability because I cannot imagine friendship based on intelligence and a sense of humor without reliability. My reasons and examples listed below will strengthen my point of view.
In the first place, a person who is trustworthy is the one whom we can count on. I will be assured that in a bad situation a real friend can help you. This is proven by this proverb “A friend in need is a friend indeed”.
In the second place, a reliable person is the one with whom you can share your secrets. In daily life there are lot of circumstances that people need to speak with somebody about who can keep their secrets and unleash negative emotion. For instance, one day I had a conflict with my tutor at the university. I did not know how to solve this situation. I could not talk about this conflict and receive a piece of advice from my parents as I did not want to bother them. I told only my best friend whom I trusted 99.9 percent. He could take my parents’ role and gave me good advice how to get peace with my tutor.
As we have seen, in my opinion reliability is the most essential part of a relationship, especially in a friendship. A person who is reliable can help you in a bad situation and can keep your secrets in his/her mind.
