"His boss threatened to give him the boot for his misbehavior."
Is this sentence correct?
What is the meaning for boot?
Is it 'dismissal from the job'?

Give sb/get the boot (IDM): dismiss/be dismissed from a job.
E.g: He got the boot for stealing money from the firm.

You are absolutely true !!
