Idioms: Colour me Greek and How deliciously May-December #1 (permalink) Wed May 18, 2011 2:45 am   Idioms: Colour me Greek and How deliciously May-December

Hi you all

- Have you ever heard of the following idioms:

- I can speak English, French, Spanish and Italian, but Arabic...colour me Greek.

- What does the expression 'How deliciously May-December' mean? Maybe a pregnancy, I mean the period between May and December is almost nine months.

Thanks
Alexandro.

'Color me Greek' is a jocular idiom mix of 'it's all Greek to me' and 'color me + adjective' (which means 'I am + adjective').

'May-December' is a relationship (usually a marriage) between two people of vastly different ages (usually it is the man who is older).
