shut means closed or locked up:
Shut your eyes; can you shut the window?
You must keep your mouth shut
(not tell secrets)

sealed means tightly closed:
Have you sealed the envelope? (licked it and stuck down the flap)
The jar has sealed (the lid has been attached tightly)

'My lips are sealed' is a common expression.
