The speaker’s opinion was about the relationship between the destiny of society were based on children’s socialization standard and the ability we obtained to help raise our children socialized. The idea that we did not know how to cultivate our children with high social ability, which seemed reasonable, was actually questionable. He did not give grounded evidence to prove that our future depended on children; but also poorly corroborated we did not know how to equip our children with social abilities that can bring out a wonderful future.

The speaker, at first, mentioned that the future of our society depended on our children’s abilities on social life, which on a whole was not one hundred percents right. I should concede that our children’s social abilities are important to our society’s development; our children should have a well-developed communicate ability, coordinate ability and leadership. With a nice communicate skill and coordinate ability, our children in the future can exchange ideas and opinions frequently and easily, which can lead to a fast development to our society while our society is becoming a more and more globalization one. A country in 11th century used to pay copious amounts of attention to building their children’s social skills in order to cultivate a mental healthy generation to ensure their leadership in the world. After about twenty years, this generation grew up to be the main force of nation building; and their outstanding ability on social life was their most powerful weapon to build up their mother land. Another twenty years passed, our country became the largest country in the world and the country’s policy of cultivating social skills made a contribution to all the achievement.

Actually, children’s social ability is just a simple one, not dominant reason of the development of a country; there are many other points that can determine a country’s future. A power and knowledgeable leader with charisma is also a significant part of society development. A knowledgeable leader can choose an impeachable way for the country and people to follow; his power part can force the country to go along in the chosen way; and his charisma can make the people in this country follow his step. President Roosevelt was one of the most successful leaders with those outstanding factors I mentioned above in the US. He chose a new economic policy called the New Deal which leaded American people getting out of the great depress. He also made a decision that started the war with Japan, which made a great contribution to the defeat of Fascism. These two remarkable decisions made Roosevelt one of the greatest presidents in US’s history. With an intelligent leader, a society can always precede a lot in some ways; even their children’s social ability is not well developed.

The writer even held the point that we parents still did not know how to teach our children to be an intelligent people, which seemed unfair to modern parents because our parents, I think, are actually skillful to lead our descendants in the right way. Most of modern people are skillful enough to deal with social activities, which backhanded prove our parents are competent; furthermore, we can learn a lot from our parents and to be an intelligent leader is easy for us. In summary, the writer’s opinion about unskilled parents is finally belied.

The writer’s statement about children education is totally plausible based on my analysis; the idea about our society’s future all based on children is much too arbitrary; many other factors can lead to a successful social development. Another opinion about we current parents are not cotenant enough is also a headstrong one; I believe most descendant would be leaded into the right way.
