Hi Torsten! I find TOEIC exercises very useful. I've just done one of them, "TOEIC listening part IV, set 9, exercise 8", on a weather forecast. I'm trying to understand what an "offshore front" is. Is it a wind? Thanks

Hi Betty,

This explains the term 'weather front'... it is a combination of air temperature, cloud and wind.


An 'offshore front' is one which is out at sea, away from the land. This video shows an offshore front approaching an oil platform:
