yesterday , i watched frinds movie , and during that time one of the actress said this idioms : wipe out . I looked for in dictionary and i found it but it's not clear for me . please can any one explain it . thanks in advance .[/quote]

The exact meaning depends on the context (but you have not given us any context).

The phrasal verb 'wipe out' is often used informally to mean 'lose control of a vehicle and crash'.

'Wipe out' can also be used to mean 'eliminate' or possibly 'erase'. This is the meaning of 'wipe out' in the quote below.
