New to English-test! Hello all! I am from Canada #1 (permalink) Sun Apr 09, 2006 20:50 pm   New to English-test! Hello all! I am from Canada

Hi everybody, I'd like to introduce myself as I am new to English Test. I go by mrcards, and I was an English teacher in Taiwan for 3-4 years. I loved teaching and the kids that I taught. I moved back to Canada and always had a strong feeling of my time there. But once you get involved in ESL, it's hard to get away from it. Now, my wife and I have created a website called ESL Elite ( www.eslelite.com ) . It's similar in many ways to this site, so I thought I'd drop a friendly hello! I wish you all well with whatever you choose to do, and if you're still involved in teaching English, please enjoy yourselves with this time that you have now; you'll never get it back. Till next time....don't forget to eat your vegetables. :D

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys! I do get a nice feeling here, and it's even nicer with the personal touch.

My wife, Ricky, was an English teacher teaching at the school I taught at in Taiwan. Now that we're back in Canada, neither of us are teaching anymore. We do have this great big project in front of us now, as I mentioned at the start, our website. It's really amazing at how much time and effort it needs. In fact, it makes me realize that if you want to succeed at anything at all, you have to put forth a lot of focus, attention, and effort.

I'm happy to be here and to contribute whenever I can.
Thanks again,
Andrew

New to English-test! Hello all! I am from Canada #5 (permalink) Thu May 06, 2010 5:34 am   New to English-test! Hello all! I am from Canada

Hello, everybody!
My name is CJ from Philippines. I’m an English teacher but I still want to improve. Learning is a never ending process and I would like to share my insights to my students.
I’m teaching Koreans and I enjoy it a lot; though, sometimes it’s difficult. Nevertheless, I can still manage it.
By the way, I need some advice to which I choose. Which do you think is better, teaching Korean online or teaching students in the classroom? Would you mind if you share your opinion about it? Thank you for the time. Learning English is fun.^^
