Hi Leonid,

Take your hat off means remove your hat from your head. Take your hat off to someone is an expression meaning congratulate.

Is "... do take ..." a way of emphasizing action or what else?
In what case should we use this grammar?
Please explain it to me.

Hi,

Yes, you're right. using 'do' does' in statements that are positive, you can emphasize the sense of the action in the verb

Look at this:

A I am not sure you understand this problem.

B I can assure you in all honesty I do understand perfectly well.
