Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Only people who earn a lot of money are successful. Definition of success

There is a saying that” there are no bounds to man’s greed”. Even people who earn a lot of money may not consider himself as a successful man, comparing themselves with other richer men. I disagree to the statement that “only people who earn a lot of money are successful” because of two examples- the former president of South Korea, Noh Mu Hyun and Lee yun hyung.
I think success is not giving up and a never ending process of doing something what people intend to do.
First of all, the former president, Noh Mu Hyun, was considered as a successful man but actually money made him take his own life. He was born in a poor family. He could not even go to college because he had to work to support his family. However, he did not give up his dream to become a politician and studied hard. Due to his determined spirit and constant effort, he was able to become a president and took part in struggles for democracy. However, after his retirement, he realized about the existence of money and took a lot of money in bribes from a wealthy shoe manufacturer. After this event became known to everybody, he chose to take his own life instead of getting over his hardship. Although he earned a lot of money and gained fame in the society, he was not successful because he gave up his life.
Second of all, Lee Yun Hyung who is a daughter of the president of Samsung also took her own life. She was the young heiress to a billion-dollar fortune and one of South Korea’s five wealthiest women, with three of the others being her mother and sisters. However, her glamorous lifestyle, it seems, was a façade. In Korea, there was no freedom to her as she was always accompanied by at least three bodyguards. Furthermore, she suffered from loneliness and depression after her parents opposed her marriage because they considered her boyfriend too lowly a match. Although her life may look like fortunate and glamorous with her wealth, she was indeed unfortunate and unsuccessful since she could not do anything without her family’s permission.
These two people had a lot of money and gained fame in the society when they were alive. However, they took their own lives and failed to get over their hardships. These stories tell people that money is not that important in terms of success. It can be a part of success but sometimes money can ruin people and make them commit suicide. Therefore, I disagree that people who earn a lot of money are successful.
