Perhaps people are beginning to realise that it is invasive and unnecessary. _________________ Cheers m' dears! |

The South Park creators made a witty spoof of FaceBook, the episode is called "you have 0 friends". I suggest you watch it, it explaines a lot about Facebook and what joining it entails. To cut the long story short, the south park characters go so far as to completely abandon their real lives in favor of their Facebook "lives", which looks ludicrous to an outside observer.
I myself am not a fan of Facebook, I don't have an account and am not planning to create one in the future, I think that unless you use Facebook to attact/advertise your business, it's a waste of time. It can hardly substitute for real life human interaction. Moreover it can turn downright dangerous: some people have a penchant for talking too much and they put themselves in peril by sharing their personal information, leaving themselves vulnerable to identity thieves and identity thievery runs rampant on sites such as Facebook. Also, it's fertile ground for all sorts of unfounded rumors and defamation of character and cyberbullying are not that rare on Facebook. _________________ If it's not easy, don't do it!

I tried it..... But didn't get it. So I left.
Then about a year later an ex girlfriend from Germany sent me a message wanting to add me as a friend etc, so I came back in and we chatted for a bit. But of course she then completely ignored me! hehehehe!! :-) I have been linked in for a while now and Im 250 something connections and can more or less see the logic behind it.
IMO Facebook exploits childish voyeuristic traits in most young people who want to be seen as very open and honest etc....Probably a lot more open etc than in the real world and like most things its never really what it appears. I would guess its more like people eventually see it for what it is - then eventually leave, - than just plain"boredom" _________________ Any day you wake up on "the right side of the dirt" is a good day. |

| In the beginning, as a "facebooker", I enjoyed a lot to be there. Having fun with many friends by giving any comments on certain posts or on friends' pictures, but unfortunately it did not last longer, I feel bored, then I have been inactive for a long time...I get reluctant to open my account. |

From the very beginning, I was against facebook. It seemed a ridiculous idea to update status and comment on each other's pics. I was forced by my friends to make an account, but at that time my internet service was not so good, so I had a good excuse not to login. But recently around two months back I got new internet and my friends pressured me a lot to join it. To be honest I havent used a single application or played a game on it. But I somewhat got hooked onto it by checking out other profiles of my childhood friends and so on. Its been almost two days since I have stopped logging in. And I am willing to stay away from it, because it is too much fuss and time wastage. I have been unable to concentrate on my writing and learning computer language. It is indeed an evil distraction and a headache according to me. _________________ Just a confused kid... trying to live through twists & turns of life!

| Facebook could be a suitable media for those who like to have fun by insulting, kidding or even demeaning others with rude words. Some people got satisfaction by doing such evil deeds. |
