Topic: It is believed that the use of computer technology has practically revolutionized the banking industry. Select another industry, profession, or field of study that has been influenced by modern technology and describe the influences. Computer technology plays a tremendous role in the modern healthcare system. With modern digital radiology-equipment, doctors can have accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. The internet-connected computers allow healthcare workers access information about medical experience and scientific research easier than ever. Computer technology also makes the organization of patient’s information more manageable. First, modern digital radiology-equipments such as ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imagining (MRI) have revolutionized the diagnosis and treatment in medicine. These equipments visualize all tissues, organs structure in the human body in the real time with exact shape so that doctors can indentify abnormality deep inside patient’s body. In past, without assistance of digital radiology-equipments, in order to diagnose some urgent condition, doctors used to perform invasive techniques that make patient be bleed and have high risk of misdiagnosis. Second, the internet-connected computers allow doctors and healthcare worker to be able to take best current knowledge faster and easier than ever. In the past, because of difficulties in access current research article in medical journals, it was time consuming for a physician to critically appraise the medical literature. Today, all medical books and journals are unrestrictedly and freely available as electronic version on web-base journal so that doctor and healthcare worker can access and apply the best clinical experience and relevant understanding in care patients. Last but not least, computer technology also makes the management of patient’s information more easily accessible. Today, all patients’ information such as name, age, gender, history, syndrome, sign, and laboratory test results is stored and managed as digital data in computer software of hospitals. With patients, who are suffering chronic diseases such as diabetes or hypertension, usually answer the same questions from doctor and should have the same laboratory tests in each time admitted into hospital. The computer software helps patients greatly save money on avoiding unnecessary laboratory tests and doctor can take sufficient information that patient cannot remember. These functions described above make computer an extremely valuable tool in the modern healthcare system. Computer technology helps doctor access the most current knowledge in accurate diagnostic and safe, effective treatment. Therefore, patient mostly benefits from the computer technology influence on hospital.
