Hello!
This is me, Loan, a student of you and Englishtest.net.
I have some difficult problem in English that I can’t solve myself. I really need your help. If you are free and don’t mind, please help me…
What do these sentences mean? :
-“The flight attendant seats the passengers” (What does “seat” mean here? It means the flight attendant are introducing the passengers how to sit, right?)
-“The police guard the bank” (Does it mean: the police protect the bank?)
- Isn’t it typical of him that he should leave without saying goodbye?
Please reply!
Thank you very much!!!!
Best regards,
Loan

Yes the flight attendent asks the passengers to take their seats and be comfortable.

Yes you are correct, police protect the bank.

Isn't it typical of him that he should leave without saying goodbye? This phrase is a sarcastic comment, stating the obvious annoying HABIT of a person who never says goodbye!

Don't worry Loan you are not that bad in english. You will catch up. Keep Reading. :)

Hey nguyen huu hanh! Welcome on here :)
Learning english has got nothing to do with being poor or rich. Internet has a lot resources which can teach you better english. There are many fun ways. You can start watching english movies and dramas and listen to english songs. Try to grasp the vocablury. Each day learn a new word, write down its meaning, make sentences out of that. Practice writing on Toefl Essay writing page on here. Read books. Speak as much as possible. There are many websites which provide dictionary's. Practice Grammar excercises. Make friends with people and have discussions in english language. Dont loose hope. You will get better day by day :) Goodluck!
