This is my first analytical essay please let me know what are the area I need to improve. I completed this essay in 40 min. The development of technological tools and the uses to which humanity has put them have created modern civilizations in which loneliness is ever increasingEvery new thing that is being developed has its advantages and disadvantages. As the technology has been considered boon in modern society, many people may consider it as a curse. However, since the development of technology has practically brought the world close, by enhancing in telecommunication, media and transportation, it will be absurd to say that the technological development is responsible for ever increasing loneliness.
The civilization has been benefited tremendously from the technological advancement. People who have to travel away from their family for work can be in touch with their families at any time. Not only we can hear our beloved from long distance but also it has been made possible to see as well as talk to that person at the same time. With the development of new technologies like Web cam, some cell phones, it has been possible to do the conference calls and attend meeting without being physically present. It not only saves time required for commuting but it saves the money too. For the student who cannot take classes on campus due to various reasons can take online classes. So the Availability of certain time is not a limiting factor for pursing education any more.
Other factor that makes the world closer is transportation; in old times to traveling from one continent to another, other people had to sail in the boat and that would take many days and months to reach the destination. In addition to that people sailing had to face inclement weather. But now with aero planes and the train the commuting has become easy and fast. The travel is not very strenuous now; people can have all the amenities when they are traveling. Most of the airlines are offering many luxurious things on board. It has been easy for people to go and visit their friends and family who live far away from them.
Due to advancement and development of media we are getting aware of everything happening around us. We can enjoy watching or learning about many things that are happening away from us. For instance, the Royal wedding of Prince Williams and Kate Middleton was the most delighted the magnificent event of this decade. People all over the world wished that they could see Prince William and Kate Middleton tying the knot and it was possible for all us to witness the royal wedding when it was happening. With advancement of newer electronic instrument it is even possible to watch news and some educational events happening from where ever we are.
The opponents of technological advancement may infer that people are addicted more to the TV and games. And that could be the reason people don’t want to spend time with each other and they are secluding themselves from others company. But this is not true, how much ever we are enchanted by electronic instrument, we, human being are social individual we cannot live solitary life we need to seek each other’s company. There may be some people they choose TV and game over people but that doesn’t mean that we turn our back to advancement, as I said every new development has advantages and disadvantages, we just have to learn to outweigh advantages over disadvantages.
