Please explain:
1. to get in line - to stand in the row/queue?
2. to get half off a new TV- to buy a new TV 50% cheaper?
a new Tv= a new TV set - better?

Yes, you are correct about the meaning of one and 2/

'new TV set' is not better than 'new TV'. It sounds slightly old fashioned.
