A big hello to all new members! #1186 (permalink) Thu Feb 05, 2009 18:01 pm   A big hello to all new members!

Hallo...
My name is Lisha, from Indonesia.
I'm still new here, and I don't know exactly how to use this forum, hihi..
I learn English since I was in grade 3, but I don't use it a lot.
And since I don't use it a lot,it didn't improve well.
So now, I try to work on it. I'm planning to take a TOEFL exam by the end of the year,
so could someone suggest me which book are the best to practice with?

Fyi, I found grammar and reading as the hardest part of TOEFL. Essay to, well I think all of it...^^
Well, I do don't read a lot,but I try to love it.Haha..

So guys, please, I take any suggestions from you!!

Terima kasih,
Lisha

Hello Torsten
Thank you so much too for new topic, which you suggested on this discussion. I think that the old lady Europe is going on the right way, because involvement in the European Union of new countries is well. Of cause there is other site also (quit poor countries, economical problems, criminality and so on), but generally this integration process is positive and necessary for all countries of EU. For me this integration process is very important, because I could without any visa travelling throw whole Europe and other countries. For example I was in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Poland last summer. By the way I was in Africa (Kenya) three years ago. It was wonderful trip. And this travelling was final drop, after which I decided to learn English language. So I tray every year on mine Holyday to take a trip somewhere in other country. This summer I am going to Poland, Ukraine and Belarusian.
So I think that EU Fundamental principles (The three pillars Policy) will include more and more European cauntries.
Like in Germany, in Lithuania especially in Vilnius, Klaipėda and Nida (a small city and holiday resort at the coastline of the Baltic Sea, located in Curonian Spit) I have been seeing cars with Germany number plates. Usually there are elderly tourist from Germany.
The Baltic states, including Lithuania, are planning to join the Eurozone as soon as the economic conditions allow. Initially these countries planned to be ready for euro adoption in the period 2007-2008. But in this moment (economics slowdown) these countries to be out of keeping of the Copenhagen criteria and cant introduce Euro. I hope that in a short time in Lithuania will be Euro, doesn't ,,Teuro”.
Regards, Dainius

Hello to everybody! #1200 (permalink) Mon Feb 09, 2009 7:39 am   Hello to everybody!

Hi, I`m Karligash from Kazakhstan, Almaty. You can call me just "Karli", as all my fiends like to call me like this.
I`m a former residence of the Republic Uzbekistan. But all my relatives live in Kazakhstan and also decided to move here, so now I`m a kazakh citizenship.
I really want to improve my English through interactive lessons and awfully happy to be registered here. Many thanks to Torsten Daerr who sent me a letter after my registration. I read all instruction from his 1st lesson and did it in practice.
I should say: " I liked it very much!".
:P
Sincerely, Karli
