Hi NS, your English is quite good, just a few points: stuff is uncountable (much stuff), please do capitalize the personal pronoun I, the same holds true for the word English which is uncountable (always singular), so you should better write 'Please correct my English if you spot any mistakes.' _________________ Test Of English for International Communication TOEIC Preparation & TOEIC Vocabulary |

Hi everyone, I am from Turkey. I love teaching language and meeting new people. I am here to find some useful material for my students. I have been teaching for twenty years now. My students are all studying English and they are going to sit a very important test to enter university. So they are in need of any material that can teach them an extra word of English. I think I can share my own materials here with other colleagues from all over the world. |

Welcome to the forums, aydincelenk.
What part of Turkey are you from?
I guess your students are all teenagers. What do you like best about teaching teens?

I am from Adapazarı - a small city just 100 km away from İstanbul. My students are teenagers and they study English at an advanced level. I try to be helpful to them in their study. Most of the time it is difficult to find someone to talk to in English here in my town because it is not a tourist destination. So I am looking for materials full of everyday english. And I love being in touch with stuff teaching English all over the world because I want to learn about the methods and materials (such as books and exams) Thank you very much for responding my message. _________________ If the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. |

Hi Aydincelenk,
Many thanks for joining our community -- it's great to have a teacher from Turkey around! Could you please tell us what exam your students have to pass in order to study at university? I'm sure we will be able to come up with resources that help you prepare your students for the test.
Talk to you soon, Torsten _________________ Test Of English for International Communication TOEIC Preparation & TOEIC Vocabulary |

Hi everyone, My students are between the ages of 17 and 18. They are all studying English because they want to study English at university. To enter a faculty in Turkey, you have to sit an exam and answer questions on the subject you are interested in and you want to study at university. For example, if you want to study engineering, then you have toanswer questions on Maths and Science. And if you want to study any language, then you have to answer question in Englis, German or French. The exam is a multiple choice test (five choices). The level of language is advanced, and you have to have 90 correct answers out of 100 questions at least. I attach a question as an example below. I would be grateful if any one of the members can help me find questions of the type. One last thing; sometimes my students need assistance in solving the questions they have. I think the forum will be very helpful to them so I recommended the site to them.
