Hello #512 (permalink) Mon Aug 25, 2008 8:13 am   Hello

Hello everybody

I am Macedonian but i have lived in austria since 2000.
I am 18 years old and i goes to school.
I play football as a proffesional in FC Dornbirn which plays in the regional league in Austria.

I want to improve my English because in September I am going to have a resist in English and this is definitiv the best place on the internet to improve my English as fast as possible.

Is anyone here who means the same as I. I think that the best thing to learn English is to speak English. Is anyone who wants to speak with me English on the internet like MSN Messenger.

Please write back

Yours Sincerly

Hi Torsten,
I spent much of my time assaying websites but what i got in the end was road-blocks, they all wanted money!

Wow! this site truly offers a lot. I've learned so much from those exercises. It really affirms my positive outlook towards the internet. I have always stated to my friends and cohorts that surfing the internet is the best way to learn new things ,not dozing-off in a classroom. Which proved to be dead-on! Hah! in your (Jed and Benny) face.

Although English is a common form of communication in the Philippines, i still find it quite exotic and far-fetched especially when I visit this site.

This site offers a menagerie of challenging problems and it encompasses tests from Toefl to GRE.

Kudos to those people who conceptualized, created and maintains this site!

With gratitude,

Kevin

PS: Sorry Torsten. I had misspelled your name during previous posts. :(

Hello,
my name is Christina and I am from St. Petersburg. I work as an English teacher. That is why I always try to improve my knowledge of English as well as try to find resources for my students that would help them learn English.

Torsten, to asnwer your question about the first lesson, it was quite easy for me. But still I'm interested in receiving the lessons. As they say 'the sky is the limit:).
And thanks a lot for your help!

Hello everyone :)) I visited this forum a few days ago and, must admit, it is really great and friendly as well. Think that’s a lot here to talk about.
My name is Victor (well just Vic), I’m 20. I live in Kiev, it’s the capital of Ukraine and a beautiful city with great historical traditions and spirit of Christianity. I’m studying IT/Maths at university and also have different hobbies. Among them: sport, can’t live without it; guitar playing, though I’m far not a guru, hehe. Also I like reading good books, pity, it’s a lack of free time. And of course a poetry (that’s one of the main reason to improve my English, cause I don’t like write in Russian (my native)). As to my favorite music, I listen mainly to classical rock, some hard’n’heavy and instrumental music, there are also some masterpieces of old Russian rock, which I adore. I would be glad also to talk about philosophy of East, I recently have got to know about yoga and I have really appreciated many points.

You may fairly notice, my English isn’t sufficient and the word list leave much to be desired. Pity to say, in our higher educational system studying of English is far from what it should really be despite of a lot of demagogies about its importance. So I have decided, it’s time to take a strong line and stop delaying.

It will be very pleasant for me to converse with You.
