Firstly, Authority means power given to a person or a cabal of people to control the whole system and maintain all the functional operations. And sometime authority is interchangeably used with the word “power”. The authority can be found in many aspects – parental authority in family, leadership in any firm, chairman or CEO in huge organization and finally the government of any country. Now the question is who will decide that the respective authority is enhancing the system? Only those who have authorized the authority can decide whether the authority is performing various duties or not. I acquiesce with the speaker’s idea that the well-being of the society is enhanced when we, people question the authority.

As far as the government authority is concerned, any government is made up of those candidates, whom people chose after performing some procedural steps. Public chose the representative who can represent the problems of the society to the ultimate authority and can solve their difficulties. They expect the condition will favor them in future. Present scenario of any governing authority is contradicting with its original goals. Many serious issues -- corruption, unemployment, recession, have been come into the picture because of the passive activities of the governing authorities. Massive portion of the authority are more involved in the personal development instead of concerning the sensible issues of the nation. This leads to an inefficient authority, which will lead any system towards the ocean of failure and disappointment.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely. This is very true and profound meaning statement. When person has all the authority, he is the king of the region. And in such situation there is a need to question the power which has been given by the public itself. Who watches the watcher? There must be some scales in the system which determines whether the success ratio of the system is going up or not. Is everybody following their responsibilities of faking around with tons of promising words? People must ask questions to those who misuse the power given to them. Important question is how do we question the authority? It is important that the questions make some considerable impact on the authority. Otherwise the outcome of all the question will be null. Massive strength is necessary to wake up the blind authority. Only mild efforts will not work to make any influence.

Media is one of the most powerful weapons to use against the uncontrolled authority. It has always encouraged people to fight for their rights. Take an example of the case in India, where a bartender Jessica was shot by the son of high profile politician. The injustice given to the girl was totally absurd, and media started questioning about the Indian constitution and justice. After the endless efforts, finally justice was given and the killer was in his right place, jail.

In sum, there is always need to question the authority. Otherwise there will be misuse of power and system progress may diminish rapidly. Though, the way of questioning is the factor that should be taken care of. It is necessary to loud your voice if the listener listens at high frequency.
