I'm having some questions. Could someone in this forum help me, please!!!

At the excercise 3(Toeic listening, part 1, set20), I don't understand the meaning of this word: pole. Acording to the dictionary, it means: one of the two ends of a magnet where the magnetism seems to be concentrated. But as in this test, I think it refers to the canoe. Could someone explain this for me, please?

And in the excercise 6(toeic listening, part 1, set 20). Answer D is: The person is carrying a bag over their shoulder. I think "their shoulder" is wrong, it's must be: "his shoulder".

Oh! I forget to ask you this one. In the excercise 8(toeic listening part 1, set 20). Why answer C isn't right? I think three of them are wearing overalls. Could someone explain for me, please? Thank you!
