Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? One should never judge a person by external appearances. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

In my point of view, people should never judge a person by his external appearance as there is a saying “Don’t judge the book by its cover.” Even the book looks old but you can get some good ideas and you will get some knowledge that you can apply on your daily life is the most important thing. It’s the same on physical appearance of a person. Many argue that looks can be deceiving. A person can wear nice clothes, can have a good hair style, can have some good things in her for fashion but then you cannot say what the person is in their minds, what is inside their soul until you know them well.

Some people look for an outside beauty because they feel that people will praise him by looking to his companion who has good looks. But these people never know the attitude of this person, they just know that he or she is pretty but has no good character. In contrast, people who has not so good looking but he or she have a good heart and has very polite manner will get more attracted to someone else rather than a person who has a good looks but doesn’t have a decent character.

Furthermore, we cannot judge by just looking at them, we have to know them well fully in and out. People might have a bad side but they might have good sides as well. Hence, we don’t look only for the other side of the coin as nobody is perfect in this world.

To sum up, don’t go for looks but run after the inner beauty of a person as beauty may fade but the character of a person will never go and it is the most important thing in one’s self that no one can ever get it from you.
