Could you explane the difference between "inquiry" and "enquiry"?

Apart from the spelling, there isn't one.
They're alternative spellings.

'had some enquiries' is incorrect. The verb you need is 'to make'
I've made some enquiries about him.

You should not use an exclamation mark and a comma together. One replaces the other.
