everyone of us, many of us, many of them... those are okay,
however, you can't use 'many of' with a noun, so
many of children... is not correct.

With a noun, don't use 'of':
many children
many people

Thanks a lot~

Can you explain the grammar structure of why we cannot use "many of" with noun.

I mean ...are there any grammatical reasons for "many of" cannot be followed by noun?
