Hi Brian,
Of course, I would like to travel. If I had such an opportunity I would visit one of English speaking countries: the USA or Australia, New Zealand or the UK. Canada would be very interesting to visit too. Then I would visit countries where my friends live and meet them there: Bangladesh, Hungary, Romania and the Philippines.
But I think that the first country I will be able to visit in the nearest future will be Mongolia. I would like to see the biggest Mongolian Lake Khubsugool and compare it with the Lake Baikal. They say that these too great lakes have much in common. But Lake Baikal is much deeper, of course. I live just in the middle of the way from Lake Baikal to Lake Khusugool but I see the Baikal almost twice a month and I have never seen Khubsugool.

Hi Brian and Yuri,
I travelled a lot within Bangladesh. I also travelled in India, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Switzerland and Italy. I have a plan to be an immigrant in the USA.
I like travelling. The historical places about which I’ve some familiarity are of much interest to recapitulate my information base. I try to get oriented on the characteristic local foods, culture, people and social systems and so on. I dream off having friends from all around the world and to visit them on occasions.
I’ve very good friends in India, Malaysia, Taiwan and Singapore who try to accompany me during travelling those countries. Actually, I do not enjoy travelling without accompaniment of a good friend.
I’m a good host too. I enjoy my friends to visit me and to give them time.
With warm regards,

Yuri and Mujibur,
Thank you for your responses. You both have traveled to many interesting places. Yuri, I would also like to travel to Mongolia. It's at the top of my list. I returned to Japan in January after traveling through Laos, Thailand, Nepal, and India for 3 months. As Mujibur likes to travel with a companion, I enjoy traveling alone.
Mujibur, where do you want to live in the United States?
Yuri, anything else you want to see while in Mongolia?

Hi Brian,
Glad to have your prompt response!
You were travelling in Nepal, which is, not far away from Bangladesh. Would you please tell us something from your 3 months travelling in the South-East and South Asian countries? I guess you travelled through Delhi, Joypur the pink city, Azmer and many other interesting places while in India. I visited many places of India repeatedly. Out of 3 months where did you stay most?
There is a possibility that I’ll be visiting Bangkok of Thailand in the near future to attend a medical check-up of my friend.
By the by, I assume learning English might make travelling more interesting for me.

Hi Brian and Mujibur,
Our talk seems to get interesting one. I don't think that I will be able to get to Ullan-Bator, the capital of Mongolia, through Turta but it is possible to get there from my place first by bus to Slyudyanka then by train through Ulan-Ude, the main city of Buryatia and through Naushki the railway station which is right before the Mongolian border. Unfortunately, for such a travel I have no time yet.
My son was recently visited by a young French man who had been to Mongolia for several months. He had lived in Ulan-Bator for about a month and he told us that the Mongolians are very nice nd hospitable people. There was time until recently when almost every Mongolian knew Russian language but now, as my son's friend said, more and more Mongolians learn English.

Hi Yuri,
Brian has chosed a topic of interest concening most of the people. But I wonder why the other forum members are not taking part in this page yet!
As you’re putting on information on Mongolia, and Brian has put it on the top of his travelling list, I’m feeling the urge to visit Mongolia someday.
By the way, is your son has something to do with the tourists?

Hello,
I spent most of my time in Laos. I started in the capital in Vientiane, and slowly made my way North. I was in Laos for one month. I then went to Thailand for a couple weeks. I didn't get to see much there, but I found the people to be very friendly.
Then I flew to Nepal and stayed there for 3 weeks. I did a 2 week trek, which was amazing. I next went to India for a friend's wedding, however I was only in India for 10 days. Too short! Yes Mujibur, I travelled through Delhi, Jaipur, and made it to the Taj Mahal. Incredible country!!
Yuri and Majibur, what have been your favorite trips and why? What did you see and experience?

Hello Brian,
Would you please tell us something about your one month stay in Vientiane, Laos?
What makes you to feel the Thai people are very friendly?
Which part of Nepal you’ve covered during 2 week trekking? What makes you so amazed there?
If you’ve attended the wedding ceremony of a Hindu friend in India it must be a very eventful one! 10 days trip to India is too short really.
In one trip to India I covered many interesting places including historical places of Murshidabad related to Nawab Sirajoddowlla. While going from Delhi to Azmer by train the free catering was serving lot of delicious foods so frequently that caused a food panic among some of the passengers! In that trip most of the historical places were also covered around Dehli and Joypur by me.

Hi Mujibur,
I found the food to be incredible in Vientiane. There is a large French influence and there are many restaurants to choose from. Amazing place to go for food.
The Thai people seem to always be smiling. Very welcoming and will show you around.
I trekked Goasikunda, which is a high altitude lake at about 4,380 m. Every year thousands of people trek here for festival.
The wedding was quite eventful, much different than a wedding in the U.S. Great food and many happy people for 3 days. I heard weddings can be a week or more long. I would like to return to India.

'...much different than...?' caught my eye.
Just wondering if that's a typo or if it's standard in the US/California? It's no more than idle curiosity though. _________________ Cheers m' dears! |

Hi Brian,
Many thanks for sharing with the forum members here your travelling experiences in Laos, Thailand, Nepal and India.
I find a similarity with Goasikunda to our Sitakunda where thousands of Hindu people trek for a religious festival every year. There is a Hindu temple at the highest altitude of Sitakunda hills near Chittagong of Bangladesh.
It’s a great idea to return to Inida and spending more time there. Please also think of visiting Bangladesh once. People of Bangladesh are very friendly; and its scenic greenaries are eye-catchy!

Hi,
My place is a very nice destination to travel to. One of the most brilliant tourist attraction is Lake Baikal. But the place where I live is visited by many tourists too. The majority of them are from the nearest regions of Russia but sometimes these places are visited by foreigners.
One of very interesting places is in 120 km from my village. It is the place where many rivers are born. This point is not far from the highest mountain of the Sayany and the rivers from this point flow in different directions. This place is fabulously beautiful.
