I wonder this one is a conditional sentence or not: "If I can’t forget, no matter how much I cry."

Please help me

That sentence is not correct. It's common to hear, "I can't forget, no matter how much I cry".

I don't think you can make this into a conditional sentence, because it doesn't matter what you do, you still CAN'T forget.

For conditional sentences:

A: "If A happens, then X will happen"
B: "If A does not happen, then the opposite of x will happen"

For example:
A: "If I DON'T go to school, my mother WILL be angry"
B: "If I DO go to school, my mother WILL NOT be angry"

However for you example:
A: "If I cry A LITTLE, I WON'T forget"
B: "If I cry A LOT, I WON'T forget"

Same outcome ----

I'm not sure, I read it in a fan-fiction. Maybe I should read more carefully

Thank you, TutorBrian. ^^!
