Hi Enlearnercn,
The accepted word for a collection of fish swimming in the sea/river is a school of fish.

Hi Huonglinh. These might help you. school of= a large group of fish, whales, dolphins etc that are swimming together for example: a school of fish
herd of= a group of animals of one kind that live and feed together [↪ flock] Exp:1-a herd of cattle 2-herds of elephants.........
1-flock of= a group of sheep, goats, or birds a flock of small birds 2-flock of=a large group of people [= crowd] a flock of children
good luck. _________________ Global Marketing |

Hello,
Excellent explanation, I do understand and I really appreciate that. Good work, it's the first time I heard this expression. Thank you. |
