People can solve important problems by themselves or with the help from their family members so there’s no need for the government to help them.
It was said human being are social animals. What an individual can do is very limited; while a group which includes one’s families and friends can do more things than an individual. But in fact, there exist some things that neither an individual nor a crowd of people can absolve. At these times we need our government.
The most recent example is the Japanese tsunami. It was really a terrible disaster, especially when the nuclear leaking occurred. Faced a disaster like this, we seemed to could do nothing but pray. But at this critical moment, our government could arrange for the rescue, collect resources from all over the world and distribute them in a good order. And after the disaster, it would help us rebuilt our hometown. I can’t imagine if there is no government to control it , what would occur .
Besides, it is government builds our public facilities that serve for citizens. Major projects involving transportation facilities, water conservancy facilities, telecommunication industry, electricity networking and urban infrastructure facilities are all need government to plan and build. Take my city’s subway for example. Because of it I can take the subway to my destination without worrying about traffic jams. In sharp contrast, it is obviously that we can’t improve the traffic condition by myself or by my family members.
The other reason I want to put forward is the government can set up law and use compel method to make it be followed by everybody. Without these laws, our society will be chaotic. Take the salt price for example. Because of the Japanese nuclear accident, many people rush to buy salt in the market because they thought salt will be useful when nuclear particle came around. At this time, some businessmen raise the price of the salt to earn more money, so a lot of citizens can’t buy the necessary salt at normal prize. Government stops their behavior and punishes them. So our live can keep go on.
In conclusion, there exists a lot of thing that we need government to help us. And besides, with the government, we can live a better, stable life.
