Dear Teachers !
- To drive sb home - To get sb home - To take sb home
I want to know the three ways above whether they are the same meaning or not ?
- I want to know when we use " home " , and when we use " house " ?.
Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi Steven,
Luiza is right - the word 'house' is more concrete - it's a building in which you can live. The word 'home' is a more general term, your home can be your flat, your apartment, your villa or your country. However, you can also live in a 'mobile home' - in a trailer or truck. If you take somebody home you go home together with them. If you drive somebody home you give them a lift home in your car.

Hi,
As i'm watching american movies, i realized that in american english "house or place'' to mean house while ''home'' means country.
I'm home means " í'm back in town''.
But eventhough, home sometimes can be used to mean ''house'' too. |
