WRITING TOPIC: What are the negative effects of beauty image today?

In today's world, all people attach importance to something such as health problems, job, economic issues. However, when look at bigger picture, it can be easily seen that beauty image is one of the most important issue especially for young people. Undoubtedly, it means a common ground among most of the people. When 50s and 60s are examined, it is distinguished that beauty image had less value. There must be some reasons like the role of media today. However, it is not the subject of this essay. We will try to give and explain two examples of the negative effects of beauty image today.

A lot of people, who care about their image, must have done something to change their appearance. The statistics tell us that cosmetic creams and some chemical materials are the most preferred to make people more beautiful. Out of these, many people, especially women, prefer different ways like cosmetic surgery. Due to cosmetic surgery, many people lose their mimics and natural images. According to scientific research, although cosmetic creams and cosmetic surgery are working to become more beautiful, they cause serious health problems. For instance, skin cancer is the most known of them. Therefore, health problems are just one of the negative effects of beauty image.

Mentioned above, the first major, also cause some economic difficulties for people. When the price of creams or the cost of cosmetic surgery is examined, it is seen expensiveness. For example, people spend thousands dollars for the basic cosmetic operation. Maybe, it is indirectly but money which is spent for beauty image leads economic difficulties for many people. So, economic difficulties can be seen as one of the negative effects of beauty image.

To sum up, when people who attach importance to beauty image use cosmetic creams or experience cosmetic operations, most of them face the negative effects of beauty image such as health problems and economic difficulties.
