Hello,

I found an advertisement about internship for Public Affairs Section and I'd like to apply for this position. I have to write a Statement of Interest but I don't know how to write it. Could you give me some advice and examples of it, please?

Thanks in advance,

Tamta

Tamta you should check out some samples on google. Otherwise I guess you can write about why you are interested in internship for Public Affairs Section. What inspired you to take it? And what do you wish to learn and implement in future?

I've already searched on google but I couldn't find good samples which I might rely on.

Thank you, Katty, anyway:)

Although it is unlikely that you will find a Statement of Interest relating to your specific interest on Google, there is a lot of advice about how to write a Statement of Interest. The advice is often accompanied by examples from other fields.
You can use the advice and the examples to help you structure your own statement.

A statement of interest should be personal to you. Looking for a generic one which suits your situation would be a mistake. The interview panel want to know about you and why you are interested in this particular post. They will be searching for evidence in your background (from what you say) that you would be a suitable candidate and they want to know how your interest in this work developed and what your personal views about this work are. They will also be looking at it to find out how well you communicate in writing.

No one else should be expected to write your personal Statement of Interest, and it would be an impossible task for anyone who doesn't know you anyway, but if you choose to post parts here as you compose your writing, we may be able to give you advice.
