First of all I'd like to say that i'm really glad that i found this site. There is tons of useful information, too bad that my TOEFL exam is on 27th this month : ). Past few months i was preparing my self for the exam on my own, with a few books and stuff I found on the net, however my biggest concern is that due to my complete lack of grammar my result isn't going to be good. On most tests i simply compensate writing/use of english and speaking with reading and listening where usually i score quite well. This test is completely new format for me and the way I see it there isn't an option to "compensate". So here's the essay, i would really appreciate if someone correct it.
“Never give up”
Simple statement, one that we all have stumbled across numerous times. However, the life isn’t always simply black or white. Therefore, there always will be different views on the same topic. So … should we give up easily or we should stand for what we believe in.
Some people think that the truth lays in this sentence, on the contrary, most tend to lose faith when they meet a few obstacles. As for me, I’m one of these who most of the time are self-confident in themselves no-matter-what. By corollary I’m not prone to give up, as a matter of fact I’m quite stubborn and I work for my goals. Who says that I should give up if the destiny slapped me in the face once or twice ? I will live up through it. I would never let my dreams go, just because I had hard time succeeding in something. I will work harder on myself till I get what I was aiming for. My basic principle is that I had to shoot for the moon, always to give myself bigger challenges and put the stake higher. If I miss the moon I will be among the stars, and when I’m among the stars It would be a hell more easier to make my wishes come true. For example, a few months ago I enrolled in a competition that was testing language and literature abilities, however it didn’t end good for me, it’s not like I ended up bad, after it, but I didn’t win. Than, there was another competition and I decided to give this one a shot too. The result ? I made it, although the competition was quite big .
In conclusion, one should never give up. Just because you didn’t made it from the first time doesn’t mean that you don’t worth it, study hard, enjoy what you do and the results will soon follow.
