I am hoping someone with more familiarity with TOEFL than me can provide a brief explanation.

On what scale is TOEFL graded. That is what is the lowest score possible? Highest?

What constitutes an average (median) score?

Well... it depends on what format of TOEFL you are interested in >> Internet based (IBT), Computer (CBT) or Parper(PBT).
The scoring systems are different.

Ahh, thanks for the reply Nukeman.

So for IBT TOEFL the maximum score would be 120 since there are four sections each of which could be graded from 0 to 30.
