Does 'the' in the above sentence concern both : 'group' and 'employees' and I don't have to repeat it before employees?

or should I write this way:
2. I wanted to talk to you about the group of the employees that will be visiting us from our Singapore office next week.

Or are both sentences acceptable?

'The' relates to 'group, but no article is needed with 'employees':
group of employees / group of men / group of children / group of spectators, etc.
