When people move to another country, some of them decide to follow the customs of the new country. Others prefer to keep their own customs. Compare these two choices. Which one do you prefer? Support your answer with specific details.

Like any other two things, new and old custom always have their advantages and disadvantages. It may be comfortable or uncomfortable for a person depending on what is the way of thinking of the person about it?
Firstly, an old custom or a custom that a person feels familiar is the culture or the lifestyle that the person feels true and comfortable when he lives in it. It, sometimes brings meanings about maintaining the spirit of a nation. For instance, China, Korea, Japan and many other countries are typical example about their traditional customs, though they live in their own countries or in another country.
A new custom or custom of the country that a person has recent decided to live in or go through, on the other hand, has new things and, as plain as nose on one’s face, has a sense felt from slightly to completely different. And in some cases, according to a person’s native custom, it will lead to the contraries with the new. So, it’s more like to bring some certain difficulties for the course of socialization.
But in my point of view, a person who comes to a new country should try to live along with new custom, like when in Rome, do as the Romans do. First and foremost, it’s a thing that show the respect to the country as well as its citizens who live there. Just imagine yourself, when you come to house of a friend of yours in the new country, as its tradition, you should tell or take some expressions that have meanings as say hello, but you don’t, so if it’s a good behavior in the host’s eye? Furthermore, living in harmony with the new custom will help me integrate with the society or community there faster. And an extra point is that though having difficulties, it also doesn’t lack of excitements that will bring to my life the more colorfulness in what usually called the exchange of culture.
So, with benefits it brings for my life and attractants, which will help me overcome accompanied difficulties, I think that getting acquainted with new custom, obviously is a better thing compare to keeping my own custom and hold the new one at bay.
