Actually, what kind of phenomenon/situation will have the kind of stupendous magnificence of effect? Can anyone give me some examples? Many thanks in advance.

It simply means "an extremely magnificent effect", so it could be applied to virtually any natural or man-made wonder that can be perceived by the senses.

It is a somewhat overblown expression that sounds as if it is used for special stylistic effect, or came from an old book. It's certainly not something one would drop into casual conversation.
