The odds as you say are obviously in favour of such things but IMO this promoted belief that we just travel millions or billions of miles is pure nonsense.
The moon is lets say for argument sake a quarter million miles away........
What keeps it in orbit?
Yes the man in the red hat yes!... "Gravity"
So think of the size of the moon - an object around 2000 miles in diameter
Then think of a magnet and the smallest needle you can find and you have a space ship trying to "get away" from Earths gravity. So if the moon is still being held in Earths gravity a quarter of a million miles away - what chance has a silly little rocket of "getting away" from its influence.
Ok then with this in mind lets compare the relatively "tiny' earth to "our neighbouring Solar system planets" and using the same information in relative terms it is not hard to understand that even a lot of our own solar system is out of bounds due to the influence of much larger planets which would destroy anything that was sucked into its gravity(especially our own sun) Then we have to consider systems were there are stars including all kinds of dwarf's and black holes etc. which are thousands of times the size of the Earth.
It therefore seems to me that the fake media version of space travel which owes most of its imagery to Frau im Mund as apposed to real time events - is quite absurd.
Im not saying that space travel as you have described is impossible Torsten but I would guess you have more chance of travelling those kinds of distance's if you also travel in time as well as space perhaps in an old Police mans phone box.
rather than with the liquid Rocket fuel invented by the Germans who later became the back bone of NASA's apollo team which faked the moon landing. Don't get me started on that :-) http://www.english-test.net/forum/ftopic49606.html _________________ Any day you wake up on "the right side of the dirt" is a good day. |

I believe so. Perhaps, more intelligent than ( we, so called earth dwellers ) who have been destroying own abode with fanatic religious beliefs, dogmatic leaderships, narrow protectionism, chavinism, exploitation and etc... P.S - Just a small thinking of a little- knowledged citizen of the deterioting blue planet.
with kind regards. |

Yes I do believe there is an intelligent life somewhere out there. Unfortunately those on earth are so stupid that they bearly realize they are standing on crust underneath which is burning lava, or that there is a Higher power out there, who stops Tonnes of metriotes from colliding with earth. How insane are we humans! _________________ Just a confused kid... trying to live through twists & turns of life!
