hi,

When Steve Jobs read numbers, like $499, he often read in this way: four ninety nine (without "dollars").

Then I have some question:
1) Is it a common way to read it?
2) Can I put "dollars" after numbers? Four ninety nine dollars even though he reads "four ninety nine"

One more question.
He reads 0.76 as just "point seven six". Is it okay to read without "zero" at first? I'm curious. We don't read that way in Korea, actually.

1) Is it a common way to read it? -- Yes, but it needs context to be clear. m 'Four ninety-nine' also means $4.99.
2) Can I put "dollars" after numbers? -- No. Four hundred 'n' ninety nine dollars is OK.

He reads 0.76 as just "point seven six". Is it okay to read without "zero" at first? - Yes, it is a common practice.

So, MM. When you read 499$ as four ninety nine, then you can't put "dollars" after that?

And you cannot put the dollar sign after the figure, either!

$499.
