Hi Medicinka, I'll try to check it and then maybe others might check it too:)
My friend and her spouse had dinner in a well-known restaurant. During 'the lunch, they noticed an old woman, who was sitting alone at the next table and constantly looking at them. They kindly smiled at her, but she didn't do it, because the old woman came to their table. "I'm sorry to trouble you, but you remind me of my daughter. She died of cancer last year and I miss her so much. So I was asking myself, if you would be able to do for("for" is redundant here) me a favour. They gave a nod and she continued. I'll be pleased, if you tell me "Goodbye mum" and waved ("d" is redundant) me, when I go. How we won't sa not to that? (I couldn't understand this sentence, maybe it is " how wouldn't we do it?!") After few minutes, when the old lady stood up from the table and picked up her things, they waved cheerfully, while "mother" was leaving the restaurant. They had a good feeling, because they did good deed and they asked the waiter for a bill. They were shocked, when they saw a sum. So they called a chief and he gave them such explanation: "It is with the old lady's lunch. She said, that daughter would pay for it.
P.S. Oh, this old woman has been so cunning:) Nice story! _________________ "Never judge a book by its cover..." |
