Wowww actually I think you're very good :) You sound more British to me though...
Are you from France or Quebec? If you are from France you are definitively the best I've ever heard. I have some French (from France) friends and they are struggling sooo much with their English accent.
You made very few pronunciation errors that French native speaker usually do : English h's are much softer than the German one (a little comparison here because your h's sounded a little German. This sound does not exist in French so it's pretty hard to have that one right!), you are pronouncing some consonants too much and beware of the "TH"s pronunciation http://www.anglaisfacile.com/exercices/exercice-anglais-2/exercice-anglais-66477.php
But seriously, nothing you should be worried about! You have a good accent if you could just work on the little thing I've said it would be perfect! And no need to have that American accent your accent is prettier!
Bonne chance ;) Sabrina xox |

Thanks for your comment, Sabrinamu. I am not from France or Quebec. My mother tongue is Ukrainian, but French is my best foreign language. I also want to thank you for drawing my atention at the "German h'' . I've had doubts about it. ''Th'' sounds are the trickiest for a Slavonic person as usual we pronounce it like z, s, d or t. ;0 I also very appreciate your remark about my pretty accent but I'll be trying to reduce it to a minimum. I will work hard until everything is perfect. How do you think if I spend 4-5 months in the USA I will achieve fluency?
A bientôt! |

Ohh! All right then :) you should have said that your mother tongue is Ukrainian because it really affects the way you speak other languages. I thought it was French and thats why I focused on common mistakes French native speaker do...
But my answer is still valid as I could see. I found this website http://www.pronuncian.com/Podcast/default.aspx?Episode=102 that talks about it :)
They say also that H does not exist in Ukrainian and the "th" sounds exist only in English and that's why it is so tricky... (actually it exists in Spanish but anyways xD)
There is also pronunciation lesson for American English in that website so maybe you'll find it interesting!
Total immersion is the best and faster way to achieve fluency and despite your few pronunciation mistakes you are actually pretty good. I'm sure you'll improve in no time!
Just work on the stuff they say on this website and also go throughout every section - stress, linking, pitch etc - I am not a native speaker so maybe there is some stuff I could have missed :)
