Do you agree or disagree” challenging plans about one's future is better than practical plans about one's future?”

In a modern society, everybody has the chance to chase his dreams, some dreams are challenging and others are practical. I believe it will be a dilemma when you ask people to choose which kind of dreams is better. It is easy for average people to choose the challenging dreams because it seems to be more interesting. However, I do not agree with this idea, and I will describe several of my reasons as follows.
First, we have to face the truth that everyone has to earn enough money to support his life. If you waste too much time on chasing unrealistic dreams, you may become a really failure in true world. For example, one friend of mine enjoyed singing very much, and he participated in lots of competitions before. He said he wanted to become a famous singer one day. Unfortunately, most of his friends realized that he does not have enough singing talent and suggested him to give up this dream. As you can imagine, he spent too much time on this kind of activity, and do not perform well in school. He failed to get his bachelor degree, and also failed to become a famous singer. He earns a job as a garbage man recently and he still believes he may become a movie star one day.
Second, challenging dream also means a dream with potential risk. Sometimes we over estimate our ability and believe that there won’t be any obstacle to our great dream. For example, I climb Jude Mountain, which is the highest mountain in the East Asia, ten years ago without comprehensive assessment. I believe I have recruited the best guys in my school to accomplish this goal, but, some unpredicted factors made that mission became a disaster finally. Unfortunately, typhoon disturbed our schedule and we did not prepare enough food, some people even got hurt. In short, challenging dreams are sometimes dangerous.
Finally, chasing a practical dream mean you will succeed one day if you do not give up. After achieving the goal, the satisfaction can help us to establish the feeling of self-reliance. No one can ignore that the dream chasing losers will never know this kind of feeling.
In conclusion, after all the factors above are considerate, we can safely come to the conclusion that chasing a practical dream brings more advantages than pursuing a challenging dream.
