Title: Mobile phones have changed the way many people communicate. Nowadays, people cannot live without them if they want to be a part of society. To what extent do you think you it is true? Why do you think some people have not adapted to this type of communication? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Currently, the usage of mobile phones have become prevailing among people from all walks of life. Ranging from an employer who introduces his entrants about position orientation to a student who ask for a leave for his teacher, a mobile phone undertakes an indispensable task as a communication aid intruding to an individual's daily life. Therefore, some people believe that it is impossible for a person to survive in the urban society without a portable phone as a new type of communication. Considering every individual is characterized as a member of the whole society, I uphold this statement, to some degree.
It is universally noted that as science and technology giving birth to the mobile phones, one's social network has become unprecedented small because of the zero-distant interaction. Unlike the ancestors who can only convey even a little information by the means of letters delivered by pigeons, persons living in the modern society are able to contact through a high-tech invention at any time in anywhere. For example, friends who live far away from each other can express their feelings and share experiences by just pressing on the buttons. A manager can easily have a conversation with his subordinate corporation's supervisors on the present sale performance and future development strategies. In this context, a person has little probability to sustain his livelihood if he lacks a mobile phone as a new type of communication method.
Despite the significant status of mobile phones in this world, however, some persons still fail to adapt themselves to this innovate tendency. With regard to the determinants, the absence of education in terms of how to facilitate daily life with a convenient mobile phone among aged persons is a prior factor. With a relative lower level of literacy, especially in the field of high-technology, some of the old are insulated from this modern forms of interaction. Additionally, in view of the benefits of face-to-face communication and letters, minorities still are reluctant to involve themselves into the prevalence of mobile phones. For instance, some view face-to-face conversation as a real and reliable way to express one's inner thought, others who prefer to use a letter as a communication media might be attracted by it's advantage of stimulating one's passion to reveal feeling directly.
In conclusion, although some traditional communication methods possess a few of benefits, mobile phones, as the most convenient approach to transfer information, have already entered into everyone's daily life. An individual in the modern times, if with a will to establish close social network with others, should learn to adapt himself to this current interaction tendency by all means. After all, everyone is a member of the whole society, as the external surrounding changes, a person can do nothing but just follows the step of changing.
