Hey, hello everybody!

Have there anybody ever tried to milk a cow? I'd love to if I had a chance.

Can you describe what do you see and feel when interacting with such a huge animal?

I've never done this, though my grandma, who lived on a farm, did.
I wouldn't be able to bring myself to accomplish this feat because I'm (inherently) scared of big animals and cows have been known to kick people with their hoofs.

I have never milked a cow but I've played with them in a field and I've ridden horses. I think it would be fun and interesting to learn to milk one as well! I like learning new things.

Our Tort System,
I'd be more inherently afraid of people than of large animals in many cases. :P

I did try to milk a cow once, but only because there wasn't anyone else around to do it. Although my grandparents' cow was a very gentle animal, she seemed extremely confused about what I was trying to do and was clearly holding back, choosing not to let her milk down for me; after a while she simply started swishing me with her tail! (Tut-tut!)

The whole time my grandma kept nagging me about how I was supposed to do the milking. I could barely get about three cups of milk out that cow and finally my grandma sighed in defeat: '' What do they teach you in those schools you go to?!''

They gore too! (Unless they are dehorned or disbudded I guess, something that people don't really do where I come from.)

You can say that again! There are some people out there one'd do well to give a wide berth to.
)))
