Hello,

“to belief” is an error in this test question 6 of TOEIC verbal word list (Test # TOEIC/W184), isn’t it? As far as the standard online dictionaries are concerned, “belief” is only available in a noun form these days. However, I am not sure whether “belief”, as a verb, was used in the past. Could you please verify this usage “to belief”?

Here are the excerpts from the test question 6 of TOEIC verbal word list (Test # TOEIC/W184):

6. v. to accept; to belief; to hug; to hold tight

(a) prepare

(b) disappear

(c) embrace

(d) freight

Yes, "to belief" is a mistake. "belief" is a noun; the verb is "to believe".
