Need advice should high school students take a course on basic economics

With the development of society, no one could ignore the economic plays a more and more important role in our daily life, so some people think high school students should take a course on basic economics. I do not agree with that, I suppose it's not necessary for high school students to take basic economic course.

The thing I put first is every high school student should choice course for themselves based on what they really interested in. Not all students interested in economics, if you let those students who do not interested in economics to learn it, they may not get a fine score and even they could get a high score they may not really learn something from it, because they do not interested in economics, they may forget the knowledge in a few day. It's a kind of waste time; students can use the time to do something that they really interested in, like history, literature. They may do it more efficiency.

Moreover, school should spend more money on invent a teacher to teach their student economic course. As you know, an economic course needs a teacher who knows economic well and economic is not a easy course to teach, so school should pay a high salary to a economic teacher. As I say it before, not everyone interest in economic and wants to take economic course. Actually, it's a kind of waste money, school could use the money to buy new facilities or give students as scholarship.

What's more, high school student should learn basic course instead of course like economics. The most significant different between high school and college is there are less basic course at college, it means high school should learn basic course like math, history than economics. Although basic economic sounds "basic" but it is not a basic course.

In a conclusion, it's waste time, money and unnecessary for high school students to take course on basic economic.
