Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The best way to improve the quality of education in a country is to increase teachers' salaries.

Nowadays, with the education become the significant part of a country's development, more and more people focus on how to improve the quality of education. Some people say to raise teachers' salary is the best method that ridiculers. I do not agree to raise teachers' salary for a couple of reasons.

The thing I put forward is buy facilities and books is the best way to improve the quality of education. Students need to use facilities to help them study better, especially like chemical, physic, if students do not have any facilities to practice the theory on books, instead just read the theory on books they can merely learn things from it. Students can learn things by them self. Book are good teacher, in fact, many students learn most things by themselves reading books. If a school lack of books, it will cut the way of self-leaning.

Moreover, raise teachers’' salaries could be a disaster; school could not find people who really want to be a teacher. If the salary raise, there will be more and more people want to be a teacher only for the high salary. If school heir someone do not have patient with students and do not care about them, he or she just care about the high salary that will become a disaster to student. Student cannot learn things from him or her, but the school also pay a high salary, it will let the quality of education goes down.

What's more, one reason I disagree to increase teachers' salaries is teachers already have high salaries. In my country, teachers' salaries were paid by the government and the salary is on the average level. More important, every teacher can do extra job to earn more money, like tutoring, they may do tutoring for 10 hours each weekend and they may earn money equal to their salary. So, despite the teachers are already high paid, I do not agree increase salary is a good method.

In a conclusion, buying facilities, books could also improve quality of education, increase salary may let quality goes down and teachers are already been high paid, to improve teachers' salaries is not a good method to improve the quality of education.
