i saw some kids after thier vaccasion and i want to ask them a qustion ... Where was you for a long time? Is that question correct? If not please correct me or give me some other suggestion

(1) You ARE.
You WERE.

(2) Where were you for such a long time? Or maybe even better: Where have you been for such a long time? I have really missed you.
